Our water treatment consultants are the best in the business, even if we do say so ourselves. They are experts in their field and work incredibly hard for clients across the UK.
In our latest blog post we wanted to interview one of the team to profile the type of work they do on a day-to-day basis.
We’ve managed to grab five minutes with Gary Webb, a Water Treatment Consultant at the Midlands branch, to talk about his role and what he enjoys most about working for Brodex.
- Hi Gary, what's your position at Brodex?
I’m a Water Treatment Consultant and I’ve been working at Brodex for just six months. My role is to help clients with a range of water management issues including Legionella risk assessments.
- What does a typical job/day involve?
The beauty of the job is that no day is the same. The types of job that we are called out to are varied. They can range from water testing, hygiene and maintenance services to Legionella risk assessments. We inform businesses about changes to water management regulations and help them to achieve and exceed the required standards.
- What's the most challenging part of your job?
Every day is a new challenge and because we are specialists organisations rely on us to get the job done correctly. We service and maintain the water treatment needs of a wide range of organisations from households to hospitals and large industrial manufacturers, so you have to look at the problem from different client perspectives.
- What do you like most about your role?
I enjoy the sense of achievement when we have completed a job or resolved a problem for the client. I think people can sometimes take water quality for granted but when something goes wrong it can have big consequences with dangerous, even deadly, waterborne diseases.
I also enjoy working with a wide range of clients from a mix of industries. I may be conducting a risk assessment for a property management company one minute, and then working on water management for a large manufacturing firm the next.
- What do you enjoy about working at Brodex in particular?
The Brodex family is a fantastic group of people who are knowledgeable and committed to their jobs. We have a strong sense of team spirit and a collaborative working environment which helps us to resolve any water management problem.
